Car Hire 4 – What’s New?
Email Notifications – You can notify your customers prior and after the booking event. Customer will receive an email notification that can be customized in the booking settings the same way as other email templates.
Car Stock – Prior to this update, you needed to insert each vehicle individually, even if it was of the same type and name. This is now much easier, since you only need to insert your vehicle once and apply stock number. Stock decreases with each booking for the same time period.
Required Extras – You can now opt to have fixed extras for your vehicles. This is great when you need to apply fees or additional charges per each vehicle. Extras are bound to each vehicle, so you can have different extras per each vehicle.
Deposit per Vehicle or Vehicle type – Previously, you could only collect deposits as percentage amount of total, but now, you can collect deposits per each vehicle or vehicle type if that is more convenient for you. Deposit amount can be fixed as and you can select the maximum deposit amount as well.
WPML 3 Compatible – We have gone to great lengths to ensure Car Hire theme is multilingual and ready for all languages. Theme is now WPML 3 ready and you are able to translate each and every part of the theme: posts, pages, vehicles, extras, … Not only that, you can also use free Polylang plugin, which is less powerful, but does the translation job equally well.
Bootstrap 3.1.1 – As web design became flatter and more adapted to mobile devices, we wanted to integrate the latest Bootstrap library to follow the trend. To do this, we had to redesign pretty much most of the theme, but we think it was worth it.
All Date Formats Accepted – Before v4, date formats were big issue, especially on older PHP version that couldn’t process complex date formats, especially if they were localized outside the English language zones. Now, you can pretty much use any date format you desire and it will definitely work on all PHP versions.
Hourly Pricing – Theme had hourly pricing in place before v4, but now, it work much better and calculates the pricing correctly for half-hour or even minute periods.
Datepicker Translation – We localized the datepicker, so when you localize your WordPress admin interface, your datepicker will be automatically localized as well.
Choose Default Vehicle Sorting – Be default, vehicles are sorted by date, when you added them to the system. Now, you can also choose to sort them by price or name.
