A new version of Genesis is released – Genesis v1.8.2. This new version is compatible with latest version of WordPress – WordPress 3.4. If you are running an older version of WordPress, then there is no need to upgrade Genesis to latest version and if you are running a latest version of WordPress, then it is recommended that you upgrade Genesis to latest version as soon as possible. It is because later versions of Genesis is not compatible with latest version of WordPress. So, for what you are waiting for, upgrade Genesis to latest version and make sure before updating Genesis to latest version you backup all your theme files, so that even though if you mess-up with any of theme files, then you can easily backup in a single click.

Genesis 1.8.2 fixes small bug in the term editing function and this latest version comes with a fresh new front-end style, a couple of new settings & some new hotness for developers who work with Genesis including inline documentation. Also note that, the Genesis page and category menu widgets should not be used any longer. Already StudioPress Team begun the process of deprecating them, and will be removed by version 1.9.0. So, it is recommended that you use the “custom menu” widget instead. Below you can see the number of changes made in this new version:
