BuddyPress is a social networking CMS which offers you to build a social network for your company, school, sports team or niche community in no time. To get started with BuddyPress first you have to purchase a domain name from Namecheap and hosting from Hostgator. After purchasing domain name and hosting, you have to install WordPress on your hosting server and after it you have to install BuddyPress plugin. As soon as you install BuddyPress plugin, social network is enabled on your site and you can enjoy it pretty easily.
Since WordPress Themes are not compatible with BuddyPress, so you have to install new themes which are compatible with BuddyPress (in this post, I’m using default BuddyPress theme). Here is a quick guide which guides you how to install BuddyPress Themes.
Step1: First you have to install BuddyPress
Step2: After installing BuddyPress, go to “Appearance” and click on “Themes” as shown below:
Step3: When you click on “Themes” (in step2), a new window open as shown below. Now you have to select BuddyPress compatible theme and after selecting theme click on “Activate” (in this tutorial I’m using default BuddyPress theme).
Step4: Congratulations, you have successfully installed BuddyPress Theme.
