After installing WordPress, you have to add new categories in WordPress because by adding categories you can attract more traffic to your blog. Already I have shared a how to guide on adding renaming uncategorized category in WordPress and now in this post I’m sharing a how to guide on adding new category in WordPress blog.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel, go to “Posts” tab and click on “Categories” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Categories”, it open a new window (as shown below). Now you have to simply fill-up all the required fields.

Step3: After filling all the required field (in step2), click on “Add New Category” button as shown below:

Step4: Congratulations, you have successfully added new category in WordPress blog.
