Gravity Forms User Registration Add-On v1.3 Released

Today, Gravity Forms have released a new version of User Registration Add-On v1.3  and it now available via automatic update. It is recommended that update to latest version as soon as possible as it comes with new features and fixing few bugs. In this new version, new feed options added which gives you greater control over the user that is created. Now, you can control the display name format of the new user and and added more granular control of the user’s role when creating new users in a Multi-Site environment. In addition to this, this release also brings support for updated to the PayPal Add-On to support multiple PayPal Feeds for a single form.

User Registration Add-On v1.3

  • Added option to feed to allow user to specify the display name of the created user.
  • Added option to select role of new user on new site.
  • Added option to select role of new user on existing site.
  • Added “gform_site_created” hook which triggers after a site has been created.
  • Updated PayPal integration to support multiple PayPal feeds with the same form.
  • Updated the “Custom Registration Page” functionality to also override BP Register page.
  • Updated function for adding user properties to prevent removal of password.
  • Updated functionality to add website user property correctly.
  • Fixed issue when Authorize.net and PayPal feeds were configured on the same form. The PayPal feed was being used sometimes even though the PayPal condition wasn’t met.
  • Fixed issue where inactive feeds were still being processed.
  • Added several additional parameters to the “gform_username” hook.
  • Fixed issue where translation files were only being loaded for admin.
  • Fixed several notices with BuddyPress integration.
  • Fixed notices on the PayPal Transaction Settings for the User Registration section.
  • Fixed issue where RG_CURRENT_PAGE constant was not available when GF is deactivated.
  • Fixed several PHP notices.
  • Fixed issue where validation was being processed regardless of a registration condition.
  • Fixed issue where $entry object was not being passed when checking if registration condition was met.
  • Fixed issue where GF was calling “gform_post_submission” hook prior to add-on tying function to it.

Headway 3.0.4 Released

Headway 3.0.4 is released with big changes and addressing two small bugs that cause you not to save when you were using either the custom code block or the live CSS editor. One notable change you see that home-brewed updater has been moved to the WordPress updater as it causes problems with some people’s web hosts. In addition to this, 301 Redirect feature have been added to the Search Engine Optimization panel for all posts and pages.

As always, the update is available via automatic updater in the WordPress admin panel or you can upgrade by downloading Headway 3.0.4 from the Member’s Dashboard & upload it via FTP.   • Miscellaneous: The screenshot has now been changed to say “Headway Base” rather than “Headway” and the version number

  • Admin: The System Info under Tools now shows more descriptive info about the browser and operating system
  • SEO: Added a 301 Redirect feature to the Search Engine Optimization panel (on the write screen) for all posts and pages

Catalyst 1.4.1 Released

  • Merged the two jQuery drop-down js files (superfish) into one file resulting in one less HTTP request.

  • Removed unnecessary Image Processing that the Catalyst Image Uploader was doing that was sometimes increasing the size of such images. Now your image remains in exactly the same state it was in on your computer, after the upload process has finished.
  • Made it so the Catalyst Image Uploader lists images alphabetically for better organization of images.
  • Changed the default #footer height CSS to auto instead of 100%.
  • Made it so you can’t “Save Changes” in Advanced Options without ALL “Name” fields being populated to prevent potential saving and database issues.
  • Added some js code to Advanced Options to prevent Custom Layout names starting with a number and matching certain names that may cause styling issues on the frontend (these specific names are listed in the Custom Layouts [?]Tooltip under the section titled “**Important Information About Naming Your Custom Layout**”).
  • Made it so your Custom CSS editor cursor position is maintained when you move away from the Advanced Options > Custom CSS tab to another Advanced Options tab, and then back again.
  • Added to/adjusted a few snippets of CSS code in the Catalyst Admin stylesheet to address the textarea text size and absolute positioning (effecting [?]Tooltips and the “Save Changes” notification) issues that came about in WordPress 3.3.

[How-To Guide] Duplicate Theme Files From WordPress Admin Panel

There are number of times when clients refused to provide FTP access to site and the worst part is that without any FTP access you are not able to create new template files and neither duplicate any existing template file. While finding the ways to create a new template file, I came across a plugin – Theme File Duplicator Plugin. It is a free plugin and you can download it from wp-plugin directory easily.

The best thing I like about this plugin is that it save you from renaming, downloading and re-uploading any file via FTP. By using this plugin you can clone an existing template file from WordPress admin area in no time.

Step1: First download the plugin (download link after end of post) from wp-plugin directory and install it. After installing the plugin, activate it.

Step2: After activating plugin, go to Appearance and click on “Add Page Template” as shown below:

Step3: As soon as you click on “Add Page Template”, a new window open (as shown below). Now you can easily create or duplicate any file without any access to FTP.
