Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel and on top you see a notification which clearly shows that the latest version is available. All you need to do is to click on “Update Now” as shown below:

Step2: As soon as you click on “Update Now” (in step 1), it shows a warning message as shown below. Simply click on “OK” to upgrade to latest version.

Step3: As soon as you click on “OK”, it opens a new window shown below. To upgrade to latest version you have to click on “Click here to complete the upgrade” link.

Step4: When you click on “Click here to complete the upgrade link”, it open a new window which confirms that you have successfully updated to latest version of Genesis Theme framework.

Some users are not too good while editing WordPress theme and in this post I’m sharing Genesis Simple Edit WordPress plugin which offer you to modify three commonly areas easily without any knowledge of PHP. This plugin create new Genesis settings page which allows you to easily modify the post-info (i.e. byline info), post-meta and footer area in Genesis WordPress Theme.

Download the plugin from WordPress Gallery and install it, already I have shared how to install WordPress plugin from WordPress Dashboard. After installing plugin and activating plugin follow step-by-step guide to edit most commonly used areas in Genesis WordPress Theme

Step1: In wp-admin panel go to “Genesis” tab and click on “Simple Edits” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Simple Edits” (in step1), it open a new window (shown below). Now simply edit anything without messing any core files from Genesis WordPress Theme and after making changes click on “Save Settings” button.

In this post I’m sharing how to remove default Footer Link from Genesis WordPress Theme. Here is a step-by-step guide on removing footer link.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel, go to “Appearance” Tab and click on “Editor” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Editor” (in step1), it open a new window (shown below) and now click on “Functions.php” file.

Step3: As soon as you click on “Functions.php” (in step2), it open a new window as shown below:

Step4: Now simply add this code in “Functions.php” file.

Step5: After adding this code in “Functions.php”, click on “Update File” as shown below:

In this post I’m sharing how to edit and change the footer credit link in Genesis Theme Framework because I do not like the default Genesis Footer Link and here is the post showing you how to edit Footer Link in Genesis WordPress Theme.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin and go to “Genesis” tab and click on “Simple Hooks” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Simple Hooks” (in step 1), it open a new window (shown below) and go to “genesis_footer” Hook.

Step3: Now copy this code and paste this code in this hook.
