Till now you have domain name and hosting account with you, now you have to set nameserver in domain name so that they will propagate to hosting server.

Now nameserver have changed, I have already shared how to add an add-on domain and in this post I’m sharing how to add subdomain in hostgator hosting account.

For those who do not know about subdomain, here is a short information about subdomain?

Subdomain are third level domain that are used to organize your website content. So without wasting anytime, here is a step-by-step guide on adding subdomain on your hosting account.

Step1: Log-in into hosting server and click on “subdomains” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Subdomain” (step1), it open a new window (shown below) and fill-up all the required fields (for me its WebGuide4U, as a sub-domain).

Step3: As soon as you hit “Create” button (in step2), you will see a confirmation message as shown below:

create-sub-domain+hostgator+webguide4u+wordpress+subdomain+create-subdomain

Congratulations, sub-domain created successfully and now you can install WordPress or any other CMS on this subdomain.
