[How-To Guide] Disable Visual Editor In WordPress

WordPress has lots of features and I have covered some of them in the form of how-to guide. One of the feature that I came across is Visual Editor. Visual Editor make writing post easy, but in some cases especially when you have a line break, it ends up ruining (usually unwanted) formatting. This post focus on disabling visual editor to avoid unwanted formatting.

Step-By-Step Guide On Disabling Visual Editor In WordPress

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel.

Step2: Go to “users” (as shown below in screen-shot) and click on “Your Profile”

Step3: Now simply click on “Disable Visual Editor When Writing” and click on update button.

Step4: Congratulations you have successfully disable the visual editor in WordPress

Note: Disabling Visual editor is recommended only when you have basic knowledge of HTML

Step1: Log-in into your WordPress admin panel

Step2: Now go to Users (as shown below) and click on “Your Profile” option, this will open a new page (move to step3)

Step1: Log-in your wp-admin panel.

Step3: After selecting post, on right-hand side (as shown below). Click on Edit Button.

Step4: Now “set date and time” when you want to publish the post and click on “ok” button.

Step5: After clicking on “ok” button you’ll see “schedule button”. Hit schedule button to schedule the required post.

Step-By-Step Guide On Adding Plugin in your WordPress Admin Panel

Step1: Login into your wp-admin Panel by typing this URL in your browser

Step2: Now click on Plugins Option as shown below:

Step3: Now click on “Add New” and it will open a new page.

Step4: On new page, you can add your favorite plugin on your WordPress Admin Panel.

Step6: Now click on install button and it installs the plugin in your wp-content/plugins folder.

Step7: After clicking on Install Button, it opens a new page as shown below, where you’ve to activate the plugin.
