Now in this post I’m sharing a how to guide on upgrading WordPress Plugin from WordPress dashboard.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel by typing URL (as mentioned below)and click on “updates” as shown below:

http://www.domainname.com/wp-admin (replace domainname with your domain name)

Step2: When you click on “Updates” (in step),  a new window open (as shown below).

Step3: Now simply check out the box and click on “Update Plugins” button as shown below:

[How-To Guide] Delete Default Page In WordPress

Already I have shared a how to guide on deleting default comment in WordPress and how to guide on deleting default post in WordPress and now in this article I’m sharing a how to guide on deleting default page in WordPress

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel by typing URL (as mentioned below) and click on “Pages” as shown below:

http://www.domainname.com/wp-admin (replace domainname with your domain name)

Step2: When you click on “Pages” (in step1), it open a new page (as shown below) and click on “trash”.

Step3: When you click on “trash” (in step2), a new open and now click on “trash” as shown below:

Step4: When you click on “trash”, a new window open (as shown below), now simply click on “delete permanently” to delete the post.

Till now you have domain name, hosting space and install WordPress on it. After installing WordPress, its time to start posting content on blog. But before that, you have to delete the default post, default page and default comment. In this post, I’m focusing on deleting default comment and come up with next post in which I will tell you how to delete default post and default page.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel by typing URL (mentioned below) and click on “Comments” tab as shown below:

[How-To Guide] Change Permalink Structure Without Losing Traffic

Already I have shared a how to guide on changing default WordPress permalink structure but didn’t tell you that you can also change permalink structure without losing traffic.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel (by typing URL mentioned below). Go to plugins and click on “Add New Plugin” as shown below:

http://domainname.com/wp-admin (replace domainname with your domain name)

Step2: Now install Deans Permalink Plugin and activate it (download link available after end of post). This plugin will generate a 301 redirect or you can call it permanent redirection when bots will crawl your posts.

Step3: After installing plugin from dashboard, go to “settings” and click on “PermalinksMigration” as shown below:

Step4: When you click on “PermalinkMigration“, it open a new window. Now type your old permalink structure and click on “Update option” as shown below:
