[WordPress News] WordPress 3.1 Release Candidate 4

WordPress team released 3.1 RC4 (Release Candidate), which means that the product is ready for last launch. I think that it’s the last release candidate before last release of WordPress 3.1. I have already shared in earlier posts that what are the changes been made in every release candidate. Here is a quick recap:

All these will help you to distinguish about the changes taking place in WordPress release candidate.

According to Official release,

The release candidate 4 build includes the security fixes and enhancements included in 3.0.5 and address about two dozen additional bugs. This includes fixes for:

  • Deleting a user and reassigning their posts to another user.
  • Marking multiple users or sites as spam in multisite.
  • PHP4 compatibility.

[How-To Guide] Delete WordPress Plugin From WordPress Dashboard

In earlier posts, I have already shared

In all these posts I talked about WordPress plugin but have not talk about how to delete WordPress plugin. So this post is all about deleting WordPress plugin from WordPress dashboard.

Step1: Log-in in wp-admin panel, go to “Plugins” and click on “Plugins” as shown below:

Step2: When you click on “Plugins” (step1), it open a new window (shown below), now select the plugin which you want to delete (for me its Dean’s Permalinks Migration). Click on “Delete”, to delete the plugin from WordPress plugin directory.

Step3: When you click on “Delete” (in setp2), it open a new window (shown below). Click on “Yes, Delete these files” and it will delete the required WordPress plugin in no time.

Step4: When you click on “Yes, Delete these files” (in step3), you will see a new window (shown below) showing confirmation of deleting WordPress plugin.

Step5: Congratulations, you have successfully deleted required plugin from WordPress dashboard.

[How-To Guide] Deactivate WordPress Plugin From WordPress Dashboard

WordPress – best blogging platform and WebGuide4U is an effort, which try to cover each information on WordPress in form of how-to guides. Already  I have shared how to install plugin from WordPress dashboard and how to update WordPress plugin from WordPress dashboard but did not shared how to deactivate WordPress plugin from WordPress dashboard. This post focus on deactivating WordPress plugin from WordPress dashboard.

Step1: Log-in into wp-admin panel, go to “Plugins” tab and click on “Plugins” (shown below)

Step2: When you click on “Plugins” (step1), it open a new window (shown below), now select the plugin which you want to deactivate it (for me I have chosen – Dean’s Permalinks Migration). After choosing plugin, click on “Deactivate”.

Step3: When you click on “Deactivate” (step2), it will deactivate the plugin (shown below).

In this post I’m sharing how to install Headway Leaf (or Add-on) in Headway WordPress theme from WordPress dashboard.

Step1: First download the leaf from Headway WordPress Theme from here

Step2: After downloading leaf, log-in into wp-admin panel and go to “Plugins” tab and click on “Add New” as shown below:

Step3: Already, I have shared a tutorial on installing WordPress Plugin from WordPress Dashboard, check it out here.

Step4: After installing the leaf, activate it (shown below).

Step5: After activating the leaf, open you Visual Editor, go to “Leafs and Column” tab and click on “Add” from the navigation menu (Excerpts+ is the leaf that I have installed).

Step6: Now, add this leaf and adjust according to the layout of your blog.
